Former Prime Minister Imran Khan is set to undergo a medical examination today at Adiala Jail, amid persistent concerns over his reported eye condition. Sources revealed that the panel of doctors will assess the PTI chairman’s vision issues and overall health. A recent report by PTI lawyer Salman Safdar indicates that Khan has voiced significant concerns about his right eye, claiming he has lost 85 percent of his sight in it.
Senior government officials have conveyed this information to Imran Khan’s leader, Gohar Ali Khan, the PTI chairman. Officials confirmed that a medical panel will conduct the examination at Adiala Jail later today and notified the party leadership about the planned medical assessment. The PTI has also been actively engaging with parliamentarians who organized a protest late last night inside Parliament House over Imran Khan’s condition.
Protesters from the Tehreek Tahaffuz Aain-e-Pakistan (TTAP) joined forces, raising their voices for their party’s founder to be moved to a hospital. Authorities restricted access to Parliament House and deployed a robust police force around the premises to ensure security. Members of the PTI chose to spend the night outside the mosque located within the complex.
Additionally, lawmakers reported that they were under heavy guard at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad. All entry points into Islamabad’s Red Zone have been sealed except for Margalla Road. Entrance into Parliament House, including for lawmakers, remains restricted amid heightened security measures.
PTI leaders stated their commitment to continuing the sit-in until Imran Khan is provided immediate medical care, demonstrating a steadfast stance against any potential health threats facing their party’s leader.
