Phil Dunster offered a glimpse into what fans of Apple TV+’s hit comedy series, Ted Lasso, might expect for Season 4. At the debut event for his new show, Rooster in New York City on March 3, he dropped some hints about whether Jamie Tartt would be back as part of the cast.

“Maybe,” Dunster said when asked if co-stars Hannah Waddingham and Jason Sudeikis had been discussing filming Ted Lasso’s fourth season. “Yes. Maybe.” He added that hearing from them feels amazing.

“I’m thrilled this show is still out there, and I adore it,” Dunster expressed. “I can’t wait to watch it again.”

Ted Lasso Season 4 was confirmed for March 2025. However, Deadline reported previously that Dunster might not return as a series regular due to scheduling conflicts.

Hannah Waddingham and Jason Sudeikis are set to reprise their roles alongside Brett Goldstein, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, and Brendan Hunt. Several new cast members have also been announced for the upcoming season.

Dunster believes Season 4 will remain true to what audiences enjoyed about Ted Lasso.

“I think it’s going to be brilliant,” he stated. “It’s got plenty of the stuff that people love about the show, but there’s loads of new fresh meat and some brilliant new faces.”

Earlier this year, Dunster was spotted on set during an episode directed by his wife, Ellie Heydon. In a Today appearance, he explained why he had visited: “My wife directed an episode, so I went over to be with her.”

Ted Lasso Season 3 concluded with Ted, played by Sudeikis, returning to the United States to be with his son while Roy Kent, portrayed by Goldstein, took over AFC Richmond as coach. For Season 4, fans can expect to see Ted once more in a second-tier women’s football team.

Though an official premiere date has not been officially announced, reports suggest that Season 4 might debut this summer.
