Educational institutions in Sindh to remain closed tomorrow

The Sindh government has announced the closure of all educational institutions in the province on Monday, April 1, in observance of Youm-e-Ali.

According to the government’s notification, both public and private educational institutions across Sindh will remain shuttered on that day.

“In accordance with the decision made during the meeting of the Sub Committee of Steering Committee held on November 13, 2023, and with the approval of competent authority, the School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, hereby declares a holiday on account of Youm-e-Hazrat Ali (RA) on Monday, April 1, 2024,” stated the notification.

Youm-e-Ali, observed annually on the 21st of Ramadan, commemorates the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA). Across the country, significant processions are organized to honor this occasion.
