On Friday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced the nullification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) intra-party elections, stating that the party failed to conduct the elections by its constitution.
As a consequence of this decision, the ECP declared that PTI would not be allocated the bat symbol for the upcoming general election.
The Election Commission’s order highlighted the failure of PTI to organize the intra-party elections in compliance with its constitutional guidelines. This led to the decision to nullify the party’s internal elections and deny the allocation of the bat symbol for the general election.
