Elon Musk’s X Platform Quickly Returns After US Outage Affects Over 19,000 Users

Elon Musk’s social media platform X was back up after a brief outage affecting over 19,000 US users on Sunday, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

The incident lasted about 45 minutes and was largely resolved by 12:04 p.m. ET. X did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

X had also been down in Canada and the UK along with the USA two weeks prior. On January 17th, there were over 74,000 reports of issues with the platform in the United States around 10:14 a.m. ET, data from Downdetector showed. This dropped to about 4,000 by 12:34 p.m. ET.

Reports in the UK fell to more than 440 from over 14,000, while those in India dropped to 500. Reports from Canada also eased according to Downdetector.

Earlier this week, X experienced another outage that peaked at over 28,300 reports in the US and around 8,000 in the UK.
