Leaked EU Threat Assessment Highlights Growing European Security Concerns

A leaked 23-page European Union threat assessment report has surfaced, revealing alarming security concerns related to terrorism and digital radicalization originating from Afghanistan. The document warns that these threats are no longer confined to the region but pose a significant risk for European countries.

ISIS-Khorasan Identified as Most Dangerous External Threat

The report identifies ISIS-Khorasan as the most dangerous external threat currently facing Europe, according to security experts. They argue that the findings support Pakistan’s long-standing position that the Afghan regime’s alleged patronage of militancy and narcotics networks has significantly contributed to the spread of extremism beyond the region.

Exploitation of Social Media Platforms

Terror groups are reportedly using popular social media platforms such as Telegram and TikTok to recruit and radicalize children as young as 12 years old, according to the leaked report. This alarming trend is raising fresh concerns among Western governments about online radicalization and recruitment campaigns linked to Afghanistan.

Afghanistan Becomes Hub for Extremist Networks

The document further warns that Afghanistan has increasingly become a hub for extremist networks, digital radicalization, and cross-border terrorism under Taliban rule. The security risks emerging from the region are now extending into Europe, heightening concerns among Western governments about the growing operational reach of terror organizations linked to Afghanistan.
