Experts Warn Monarchy on Danger from Former Duchess of York

A royal expert warns that former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, who left the UK after Andrew’s arrest, is viewed by King Charles and Prince William as an unrepentant risk to the monarchy. According to Hilary Fordwich, a prominent royal expert for Fox News Digital, “Each and every revolting revelation about Fergie simply reinforces public perception of her as a greedy, tasteless, selfish individual—a threat to the monarchy.”

Fordwich’s comments suggest that there is no longer any proper or public way to mitigate Sarah’s damaging revelations. “There will always be someone willing to pay for her tawdry tale,” she warns. This makes her an ever-present risk, especially considering her track record of lack of restraint.

She points out that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have so far refrained from “overtly risking anything untoward regarding the royals,” but Ferguson is growing increasingly desperate. Fordwich adds, “Therefore, her self-made financial crisis and resulting fallout from a self-indulgent lavish lifestyle in conjunction with the humiliation and public shunning related to Epstein no doubt make her consider a cash-in memoir her last resort.”

Another expert, Helena Chard, says that despite Ferguson’s current low-profile, the royal family is aware of her knowledge about “where the bodies are buried.” Chard also cautions, “Given the collapse of her previous commercial ventures and with resilience and tenacity, she could do further damage to the monarchy through a high-stakes ‘tell-all’ production aimed at appeasing her financial woes and ensuring financial security.”

Both experts agree that Ferguson’s toxic reputation and recent actions have placed her in an increasingly perilous position for the monarchy.
