Federal Constitutional Court Schedules Hearing for June 16

The Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) has set a date for hearing the Dr Aafia Siddiqui case, alongside an appeal concerning contempt proceedings against Prime Minister and cabinet members.

A two-member bench led by Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan will preside over the case on June 16. The court also scheduled a hearing for the appeal challenging the Islamabad High Court’s order of contempt due to non-compliance in Dr Siddiqui’s case.

The federal government has contested the decision related to the Prime Minister and cabinet members’ actions.
