The federal government is preparing to expand its cabinet, with the swearing-in ceremony anticipated on February 27 or 28. Sources suggest that 8 to 10 new ministers could be inducted this week as part of the government’s reshuffle.
Notable figures likely to join the cabinet include Hanif Abbasi, Bilal Azhar Kayani, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Khalid Magsi, and Mustafa Kamal, who are reportedly finalized for ministerial roles.
Others under consideration include Pir Imran Shah, Sardar Yousuf, and Barrister Aqeel Malik. Syed Tauqeer Shah is expected to be appointed as an advisor.
According to insiders, Hanif Abbasi is poised to lead the Ministry of Railways, while Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry may head the Health Ministry. Khalid Magsi is likely to take over the Communications Ministry, and Mustafa Kamal is expected to oversee the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Senator Talal Chaudhry is also set to join the cabinet as a Minister of State, adding further depth to the government’s new lineup.
