
LAHORE: In what was a standout moment on the prestigious Lahore Polo Club’s green courts, FG Polo emerged victorious in the Aibak Cup final. The match against Diamond Pants showcased the highest levels of skill, strategy, and flair under the vibrant hues of Basant, drawing an enthusiastic crowd that included Pakistani acting US Ambassador Natalie A Baker.
Baker was among those who witnessed the thrilling contest, praising the players’ performance for their spirited atmosphere and commendable sportsmanship. Both teams fought fiercely throughout the match. FG Polo’s Raja Mikail Sami scored four goals, while Marcos Revulva added three to secure their victory. Meanwhile, Diamond Pants demonstrated admirable resilience; Abi Linda tallied three goals, while Mohammad Ali Malik contributed one.
The Aibak Cup concluded with BN Polo claiming third place after a nail-biting 8-6 win over SQC Gold Polo in the playoff for third spot.
