How to Apply for Sindh Government’s Rs2,000 Monthly Motorcycle Fuel Subsidy: Step-by-Step Guide

In a major relief measure for millions of daily commuters, the Sindh government has launched a simple and fully digital portal to deliver the People’s Motorcycle Fuel Subsidy Programme. Eligible motorcycle owners can now receive Rs2,000 per month directly in their bank accounts — the equivalent of Rs100 per litre subsidy on up to 20 litres of petrol — without visiting any office.

The new platform, accessible at https://taxportal.excise.gos.pk/home/bike_subsidies, has been designed for speed and ease. Only motorcycles registered in the owner’s name qualify, and the entire process takes less than two minutes. Here’s exactly how to check your eligibility and secure your subsidy.

Step-by-Step Guide to Check Eligibility on the Sindh Bike Subsidy Portal

  1. Visit the official portal at https://taxportal.excise.gos.pk/home/bike_subsidies on any smartphone or computer.
  2. Scroll to the “Check Eligibility” section.
  3. Enter your 13-digit Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number.
  4. Enter the exact registration number of your motorcycle (for example: ABC-123).
  5. Type the CAPTCHA code shown in the image (refresh if needed).
  6. Click the green “CHECK ELIGIBILITY” button.

Once you submit, the system will instantly tell you whether you qualify. If approved, you will be guided to provide your verified bank account details for direct monthly transfers. The first payments are scheduled between April 15 and 20.

The portal also features a separate “Check Status” bar at the top where you can track your application using the tracking number issued after registration. The entire interface is available in both English and Urdu, making it accessible for users across Sindh’s urban and rural areas.

This targeted subsidy programme is part of the provincial government’s Rs1.72 billion monthly relief package aimed at protecting daily wage earners, students, and middle-income families from rising fuel costs. By keeping the process 100% online and paperless, the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has ensured transparency and eliminated unnecessary delays.

Motorcycle owners in Sindh are strongly advised to complete the eligibility check today to avoid missing the first disbursement cycle. The portal is live and accepting applications right now.

For best results, use the registration number exactly as it appears on your vehicle documents and ensure your CNIC is linked to an active bank account. The Sindh government has also waived the Rs500 transfer fee to make registration updates hassle-free.
