Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) announces establishment of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) desks nationwide.

The decision comes from Director General FIA, who has instructed all additional directors general and zonal directors to establish these desks. The purpose is to collect detailed data on six key objectives for Pakistan’s upcoming mutual evaluation review in the final quarter of the current year.

Officials have emphasized that all wings and zones must ensure full implementation of FATF-related tasks. A designated focal person within each zone has been directed to submit a report to the DG FIA within seven days.

The instructions also include a proforma based on seven terms of reference, stressing strict compliance with FATF directives by all law enforcement agencies, including the FIA itself.
