Pakistan: Field Marshal Asim Munir Reinforces Zero Tolerance for Cross-Border Terror

In a visit to South Waziristan’s strategic Wana, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir reviewed border security and operational preparedness with frontline troops and intelligence operatives. The high-level tour focused on maintaining stringent vigilance along the western frontiers against persistent militant threats.

Upon arrival in Wana, the chief military commander was welcomed by Corps Commander Peshawar, who briefed him extensively about current security conditions, ongoing operations, and border management strategies. Senior commanders detailed Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq and updates from the region.

During the visit, Munir laid a floral wreath at the Shuhada Monument to honor fallen soldiers who had laid down their lives defending Pakistan’s sovereignty. He emphasized that these sacrifices remain crucial for national resilience. The chief of staff reaffirmed his zero-tolerance stance against any form of cross-border terror and vowed to neutralize all threats emanating from Afghan soil.

The briefing covered surveillance mechanisms, coordination efforts between different formations, and the broader strategic vision for securing the western frontiers. Munir also interacted with officers and troops deployed in forward areas, commending their professionalism, vigilance, and high morale during ongoing skirmishes.

The field marshal underscored that Pakistan’s commitment to peace cannot coexist with support for terrorism or terrorist organizations operating from Afghanistan. He outlined measures being taken against militant threats and maintained confidence in the combat readiness of forces along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
