Finance Minister Launches Central Secretariat for Tajir Dost Scheme in Lahore

Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb has officially inaugurated the Central Secretariat for the Tajir Dost Scheme at the Regional Tax Office (RTO) Lahore. During his visit, RTO Lahore provided a detailed briefing on the scheme’s operations and impact.

Aurangzeb commended the performance of the Tajir Dost Scheme in Lahore and emphasized the need for effective implementation and advance tax collection. He also directed the issuance of simplified tax return forms for traders.

The Finance Minister engaged with trade representatives, considering their feedback for improving the scheme. He instructed that these recommendations be put into action to enhance the scheme’s effectiveness.

RTO Lahore is currently the leading office in Pakistan in terms of trader registrations, with nearly 25,000 traders registered to date.
