
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb visited the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Headquarters today, commending the team for surpassing the revenue collection target for the financial year 2023-24 by collecting Rs. 9311 billion.
During the meeting with Chairman FBR Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana and Board Members, Minister of State for Finance and Revenue Ali Pervez Malik joined via video link from Lahore. The Finance Minister lauded the FBR’s exemplary performance and expressed confidence in their capabilities, hoping they will continue to play a pivotal role in achieving the government’s fiscal objectives.
The Minister of State also appreciated the FBR team for exceeding the annual revenue target despite numerous challenges. To celebrate the achievement, the Finance Minister, along with the Chairman and Board Members, cut a cake.
The meeting highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening the FBR and supporting its initiatives aimed at enhancing revenue collection, digitization, and economic documentation.
