In recent developments, third ex-wife Firerose has renewed allegations against Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley. Despite Cyrus’ move into a relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley following their separation on May 22, 2024, Firerose continues to speak out about the emotional impact of her marriage.
A new report by RadarOnline.com reveals that after initially meeting years earlier when she was 22 and a friend of Miley Cyrus, Firerose had convinced herself that Billy Ray Cyrus was her soulmate. “You’ll meet a 49-year-old man who convinces you he’s your soul mate,” she noted. However, she emphasized the importance of not believing in such claims.
Despite the divorce, Firerose has been candid about her experiences within the marriage, describing it as characterized by control, isolation, rage, manipulation, and walking on eggshells daily. She even mentioned being “publicly displayed to uphold their mask while being abused behind closed doors,” referring to a deeply isolating and devastating experience.
Explaining why she had remained silent for so long, Firerose stated that when all her energy was focused on surviving under the abuser’s control, keeping secrets became crucial. She added, “When all your focus is on survival, protecting your abuser becomes the top priority.”
Concluding with a plea to those who might relate, she prayed for their strength and strength of will: “My deepest prayer is that by sharing a fraction of the most excruciating years of my life, it will give that one girl the strength to get through another day.”
