Heavy Fog Forces Closure of Lahore-Jaranwala Motorway

In response to dense fog enveloping the M3 Motorway connecting Lahore to Jaranwala, authorities have announced a temporary closure. The motorway police issued an advisory urging drivers to travel only during daylight hours for safety.

A police spokesperson noted that these measures are essential for safeguarding commuters and preventing accidents. According to the directive, the safest times for travel in low-visibility conditions are between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Drivers are advised to utilize front and rear fog lights during this period to enhance visibility.

The authorities also recommended avoiding unnecessary journeys, maintaining safe distances, and avoiding excessive speed due to reduced visibility risks on the road. Compliance with these guidelines is vital until conditions improve and motorway operations resume as usual.
