foodpanda, Pakistan’s leading online delivery platform, recently concluded its dedicated Rider Safety & Health Week, an initiative designed to highlight the company’s appreciation and commitment to its rider community. The week-long program, executed with the support of various partners and internal teams, focused on equipping riders with essential safety knowledge, health resources, and a renewed sense of care.

“The dedication of our delivery partners is what truly drives foodpanda. This Rider Safety and Health week served as a vital moment to highlight our profound respect and responsibility towards them,” said Head of Logistics foodpanda, Ahsan Malik. We are deeply committed to ensuring their well-being, not just through essential gear and services, but by creating a culture of safety and care that goes beyond the road.”

The week kicked off with a strong emphasis on road safety. A powerful safety awareness video, featuring renowned automotive expert Suneel Munj, was widely shared across PakWheels’ social media platforms, spreading the message far and wide. This was followed by an engaging in-person session hosted by Suneel Munj at foodpanda’s Lahore office, providing riders with direct insights and practical advice. The collaboration with PakWheels also extends to enhancing rider recruitment and engagement through digital promotions across both platforms, featuring tailored bike product campaigns and safety tips.

Throughout the week, foodpanda collaborated with key partners to further educate, equip, and empower its riders. Atlas Honda conducted a specialized road safety session for over 50 riders, while WASL offered convenient bike upgrade options through easy installment plans. Essential bike maintenance services were provided by KAACIB, which not only offered services to over 50 riders but also partnered with foodpanda to offer door-to-door bike maintenance and discount home services like plumbing, electrical work, cleaning, and appliance repairs for riders.

Action Oils contributed by distributing free engine oils and filters to 50 riders, ensuring their bikes remain in optimal condition. To promote safer, hands-free riding, Qist Bazaar gifted over 50 AirPods and further solidified its partnership by offering riders access to essential products like phones and appliances through easy monthly instalments, with a 15% discount on down payments. The partnership was launched with a successful 3-day expo, generating more than 100 leads and positive rider feedback. Furthermore, over 2,000 reflective stickers were also distributed among delivery partners to enhance bike visibility.

foodpanda also collaborated with the Karachi Traffic Police to provide comprehensive road safety training, led by Trainer Inspector M. Sohail and DIG Traffic Syed Pir Muhammad Shah. These sessions focused on defensive driving, traffic laws, and safe vehicle handling to enable a more responsible delivery ecosystem.

Beyond road safety, rider health was a central part of the initiative. foodpanda hosted a comprehensive two-day Health Camp at its Karachi Head Office, where over 10 health partners, including Chughtai Lab, PharmEvo, Uniferoz, Sukoon, Haleon, Nutrifactor, Herbiotics, RHS, MMS, and One Health Labs, offered free health checkups, kits, and tests. This service benefited over 100 riders, as well as office guards and staff, highlighting a holistic approach to well-being.

This successful week highlights foodpanda’s dedication to its rider community. By investing in their safety, health, and overall welfare, foodpanda continues to build a supportive ecosystem that empowers its riders and ensures the seamless delivery of services across Pakistan.
