Season five is slated to be the final season for Hacks, HBO Max’s hit sitcom. The trailer has been released, revealing ten episodes that will air weekly starting April 9.
This decision isn’t unexpected given past hints from cast members about the series’ conclusion. Hannah Einbinder, who plays Ava Daniels, told E! Entertainment TV, “Knowing it’s the last season is really bittersweet… It’s nice to do something as many times as it should be done.”
Hacks, which aired in 2021, has been widely praised and won several Emmys. The show’s synopsis states that after false reports of her death, Deborah Vance (played by Jean Smart) and Ava return to Las Vegas to secure Deborah’s legacy as a comedian.
