Pakistani authorities struck back decisively in Dera Ghazi Khan, killing four terrorists during an intense encounter with militants who had planned violent attacks on police and public institutions.

CTD personnel were alerted by intelligence that Fitna al-Khawarij, a group known for its radical extremism, was hiding near Jotar village within DG Khan. The organization appeared to be preparing plans for assaults against law enforcement and civilian targets in the region.

According to CTD spokespersons, the operation began when militants opened fire on their own compound. In an aggressive counterattack, CTD personnel responded with lethal force. Throughout the intense gun battle, four terrorists fell dead, but eleven managed to escape into the darkness of night.

CTD officials seized weapons and ammunition from the fallen militants, which included various rifles and rounds of ammunition. Additionally, explosive materials were found at the scene. The CTD is currently identifying the four deceased individuals while simultaneously initiating a search operation to apprehend those who fled the area.

The spokesperson reiterated that eliminating such threats remains CTD’s primary goal in safeguarding Punjab from terrorism. They pledged relentless pursuit against terror groups and urged residents to assist by promptly reporting any potential terrorist activity or suspicious individuals they encounter.

CTD continues its vigilant efforts toward creating a secure environment for all citizens, underscoring the ongoing war on extremism across Pakistan.
