
A gas pipeline was blown up near Akhtarabad on Monday, causing a fire and disrupting supply across multiple areas, according to officials.
The explosion occurred at a section of the pipeline close to the Western Bypass, igniting flames visible from afar. The blast caused significant infrastructure damage, leading authorities to halt gas supply to surrounding localities.
Police and security personnel arrived at the scene immediately, securing the area and commencing an investigation. Gas company officials were also called in for assessment and repair work.
