George Clooney has spoken candidly about his political views, particularly concerning US President Donald Trump. At an event by the Clooney Foundation for Justice, he criticized Trump’s explosive remarks about wiping out a “whole civilization” of Iran if it does not agree to a ceasefire agreement.

Clooney emphasized that such threats are unacceptable and constitute a war crime. He also expressed concern over Trump’s alleged plan to exit from NATO due to non-cooperation with him on Middle Eastern issues, stating his worry about the safety ensured by the alliance for Europe and the rest of the world.

The Clooney Foundation for Justice, founded in 2016 by George and Amal, works across 40 countries. Meanwhile, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is set to meet with Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday to address differences.
