
Pakistan’s military has announced an agreement with Ghana to enhance military-to-military relations and expand defense cooperation. The meeting took place on Thursday when Lieutenant General William Agyapong, Chief of Defence Staff of Ghana, visited Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
During the discussions, both sides emphasized joint training programs, counter-terrorism efforts, and defense production as key areas for collaboration. A guard of honor was presented to the visiting dignitary by a tri-services contingent.
The Ghanaian military chief also commended Pakistan’s Armed Forces for their professionalism and contributions to regional peace and stability during his visit. Additionally, meetings were held with Abdul Razak Osman, National Security Coordinator, and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at Naval Headquarters, as well as Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at Air Headquarters in Islamabad.
