
Gold prices continued their downward trend for a third consecutive day in both global and local markets on Tuesday. In the international bullion market, gold decreased by $25 per ounce, settling at $4,125.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), gold price per tola also fell by Rs2,500 to Rs434,936 locally. The price of gold per 10 grams dropped by Rs2,143, ending at Rs372,887.
Meanwhile, silver prices per tola declined by Rs120 to Rs6,559, and per 10 grams, the price decreased by Rs103 to Rs5,623.
On Monday, gold prices in Pakistan also fell as they tracked losses in the international market. The APGJSA reported that gold per tola was at Rs437,436 after a drop of Rs2,400 during the day, while 10-gram gold traded at Rs375,030, down by Rs2,058.
On Saturday, gold per tola closed at Rs439,836 after declining by Rs1,100 amid mixed signals from the US economy.
