Gracie Abrams Discusses ‘Nepo Baby’ Label
Gracie Abrams, daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, has been candid about the “nepo baby” label she’s received due to her famous parents during an interview on The New York Times’ Popcast.
She admits that growing up in a family with significant influence in the entertainment industry provided her with advantages such as financial security, which allowed her to focus on her music career without financial stress.
Gracie also shared how being born into a household where both her parents worked in the entertainment business gave her unique insights and vocabulary about the industry, making her fully aware of the internet’s tone regarding nepotism.
Additionally, Gracie revealed that the track Daughter from Hell from her upcoming album is an apology to her mother for her teenage behavior.
