Hajj 2025 operations in Pakistan are set to begin tomorrow as the first Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight departs from Islamabad to Medina.
Pre-Hajj operations at Islamabad International Airport will officially commence tomorrow night, with the first flight, PK-713, scheduled to take off at 5:00 AM, carrying over 300 pilgrims to Medina. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yusuf, the Saudi Ambassador, and other senior officials will be present to see off the pilgrims.
As part of the “Road to Makkah” initiative, pilgrims must arrive at the airport four hours before departure. Special counters for Saudi immigration have been established at the airport to streamline the process.
Over 100 flights from Islamabad will transport more than 28,000 pilgrims to Jeddah and Medina as part of the Hajj 2025 operations.
MoRA Issues Hajj 2025 Guidelines
Last week, the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) issued key guidelines for Hajj 2025 pilgrims. It is mandatory for all intending pilgrims to receive the required vaccinations and obtain a Yellow Card from their respective Haji camps before departing for Saudi Arabia.
The ministry emphasized that no one will be allowed entry into Saudi Arabia without a valid vaccination certificate. Additionally, pilgrims over 65 years of age must carry their COVID-19 vaccination card.
The Ministry spokesperson also urged pilgrims to remain cautious against fake Hajj permits and to ensure travel only with valid and authentic documentation for Hajj 2025.
All arrangements for Hajj 2025 have been finalized, and the first flight under the government scheme will depart on April 29. Approximately 89,000 pilgrims will travel to Makkah and Medina under the government’s Hajj program this year.
