
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Urges Vigilance During Hajj
A meeting of the Hajj Review Committee was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf. Officials briefed the committee on arrangements for pilgrims.
Officials informed that five dispensaries have been established in Makkah and five bus stands allocated for Haram transport. Secretary for Religious Affairs Abrar Ahmed Mirza, Additional Secretary Dr. Sajid Mahmood Chohan, and Joint Secretary Hajj Muhammad Bakhsh Sangi gave detailed briefings during the meeting.
Chief Coordinator Makkah Dr Mirza Ali Mehsud, Coordinator Makkah Zulfiqar Khan, and Hajj Directors from Makkah and Madinah also participated in the meeting via Zoom. The minister urged officials to remain vigilant throughout the operation and ensure that pilgrims’ problems are addressed immediately.
Director of Madina informed the committee that over 20,000 pilgrims had reached Madina till Tuesday, with more than 11,000 having completed their pilgrimage to Riyad-ul-Jannah. Head of the Pakistan Hajj Medical Mission, Col. Dr. Tauqeer, stated that one hospital and three dispensaries are currently functioning in Madina.
