Prince Harry’s decision to visit UK with Meghan and their children for Invictus Games event from July 10 to 17 could work in favor of his father, King Charles. Fox News Digital reported that the royal couple may stay at Princess Diana’s ancestral home Althorp house.

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich said staying at Althorp would be better than Buckingham Palace as it removes any question of taxpayer funding and allows the king to save face. The Sussexes would also be away from Prince William, who is reportedly not keen on them.

Another expert, Helena Chard, told the outlet that Althorp offers privacy, seclusion, and a direct connection to Princess Diana’s memory, something Buckingham Palace cannot provide.

The private property owned by Charles Spencer, Princess Diana’s brother, is scheduled to close to visitors on July 10 and 11, coinciding with the expected arrival of the royal couple in Britain.
