### Islamabad Local Government Elections Petitions Hearing Adjourned Without Proceedings
A hearing challenging presidential ordinances and delays in local government elections for Islamabad was adjourned without any proceedings on Tuesday. The adjournment occurred due to the unavailability of Islamabad High Court Justice Azam Khan, who is a key figure in handling these petitions. As a result, the cause list of his court has been cancelled, and the petitions have been deferred without substantive action.
The hearings were initially scheduled after the Election Commission of Pakistan and other relevant parties had received notices from the court seeking their responses to the challenges against the presidential ordinance and the elections. The Islamabad High Court also combined the petition filed by the Markazi Muslim League with that of Jamaat-e-Islami for a joint hearing.
The next date for the hearing will be determined by the registrar’s office, as per information provided by court officials.
