Heidi Montag Reveals Why She Was Eliminated on ‘The Masked Singer’ After Years of Dreaming

Heidi Montag, who had long dreamed of participating in “The Masked Singer,” has revealed a heartbreaking twist. Her stint on season 14 was cut short when an injury forced her to leave the show. Montag appeared as Snow Cone and wanted to compete since the series’ inception.

Montag’s desire for participation stemmed from early days, but an unfortunate accident intervened. During the competition, she suffered severe vocal cord hemorrhaging after enduring long hours of intense singing under a heavy helmet. Her voice had deteriorated so badly that she could barely speak, according to Us Weekly.

In recounting her experience, Montag spoke about how difficult it was off-screen as well. She whispered for two weeks straight at home and struggled to communicate with her children, Gunner Stone and Ryker Pratt, while her husband Spencer Pratt shared custody. The actress expressed intense emotions when she couldn’t even converse properly due to the strain on her voice from years of singing.

“It was an incredibly intense experience off-camera,” Montag said. “I was determined to save my voice as much as possible for this opportunity I had been eagerly anticipating for so long. To have to leave because of a vocal injury felt like being robbed of that dream.”

This setback was particularly poignant given the actress’s personal history; her family and home were devastated by wildfires in Los Angeles, making her journey all the more challenging.

Montag’s story highlights how one’s passion can be tested under immense pressure. Despite the adversity she faced, Heidi Montag remains committed to the series and continues to support its contestants with heartfelt messages from behind the scenes.
