Helicopter Crashes Near Muzaffarabad, All Onboard Martyred; Inquiry Ordered Due to Technical Fault

Pakistan Army Mi-17 Helicopter Crashes Near Muzaffarabad

An Mi-17 helicopter from the Pakistan Army Aviation crashed near Muzaffarabad on Wednesday during take-off due to a technical fault. All personnel on board were killed, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Rescue and recovery teams rushed to the crash site immediately. A board of inquiry has been ordered to determine the exact cause of the accident.

Commander-in-Chief and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asif Buhari expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life. He extended condolences to the bereaved families, the ISPR statement said.
