The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 has seen a significant boost with the announcement of the high-profile Hyderabad team roster. The franchise’s social media pages were filled with animated visuals as they welcomed four new signings: Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Maaz Sadaqat, and Akif Javed.

Among these, Saim Ayub stands out for being both a debutant in PSL history and the most expensive player so far. Hyderabad secured him for a record Rs126 million after releasing him from Peshawar Zalmi due to limited retention slots. His move signals a crucial investment by the franchise aimed at bolstering their batting lineup.

Saim Ayub was not the only star signing for Hyderabad in 2026. Wicketkeeper-batter Usman Khan also joined, following his release from Multan Sultans after Hyderabad bought him for Rs46.2 million. His acquisition comes as part of a series of moves to build strength across different positions.

Hyderabad has taken another step forward with the signing of Maaz Sadaqat and Akif Javed who were acquired separately, priced at Rs35 million and Rs19.6 million respectively. These signings are expected to complement Ayub’s and Khan’s contributions and further solidify Hyderabad’s potential in the competition.

Earlier this year, Hyderabad also secured Marnus Labuschagne for the 2026 season. A star from Australia’s cricket circuit, Labuschagne is anticipated to play a pivotal role in enhancing Hyderabad’s batting squad ahead of the PSL 2026 auction. The franchise intends to continue acquiring marquee players while staying within budget constraints.

These high-profile signings have put Hyderabad at the forefront for many cricket enthusiasts and analysts. With these additions, they are positioning themselves as serious contenders for success this year, setting a bold stage for what could be an exhilarating season ahead in PSL 2026.
