Imran Khan’s Sisters Hold Press Conference Amid Protests in Pakistan

As protests rage across Pakistan, demanding the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his sisters have taken a more visible role by organizing their own press conference. The event took place at 3 PM on Tuesday at Bani Gala, the residence where Imran Khan once resided.

The demonstrations are ongoing, with sit-ins at Parliament House including prominent figures like Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas. Protesters are calling for fair legal proceedings and proper medical care for Imran Khan.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the protests have spread to various cities, demonstrating growing public concern over the former prime minister’s health and detention status.

Earlier this week, PTI KP President Junaid Akbar Khan outlined leadership decisions regarding Imran Khan, stating they would either be decided by the party or Opposition Leader Mahmood Achakzai. He also mentioned that Imran Khan had instructed his family to follow the instructions of Achakzai.

The independent press conference held by Imran Khan’s sisters underscores their increased public involvement amidst this political crisis. It highlights the tension between the official leadership and the personal stakes of the former prime minister’s relatives in these evolving events.
