Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, addressed the press conference marking the first anniversary of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos. He stated that Pakistan gave a strong response to what he termed as baseless allegations by India.
Tarar noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had presented Pakistan’s clear and unequivocal stance on the Pahalgam incident and had offered an independent and impartial investigation. This, he said, received international support.
The minister highlighted the call to end the blame game in the prime minister’s address, reiterating that Pakistan is fighting terrorism whereas India is fostering it. He also claimed that the roots of terrorism in Pakistan trace back to India.
Tarar emphasized that Pakistan stands as a wall against terrorism and that India neither condemns terrorist incidents nor expresses regret over them. He stated that India uses water as a weapon while Pakistan remains fully prepared to respond to any aggression.
