Security forces neutralized three terrorists linked to the Indian-sponsored proxy group “Fitna-al-Hindustan” in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by military personnel in Panjgur district, Balochistan. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation began following reports of terrorist presence in the area. During a fierce exchange of fire, troops effectively engaged the location and killed Farooq (alias Soro), Adeel, and Waseem, who were identified as Local Area Commanders.
The ISPR also reported that security forces recovered an extensive cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the site. They added that the deceased terrorists had been involved in multiple terrorist activities across the region. “Sanitization operations” are ongoing to eliminate any other foreign-sponsored terrorists discovered in the area.
ISPR highlighted the continued counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, which will proceed at full pace against foreign-sponsored terrorism within the country. President Asif Ali Zardari commended security forces for their successful operation and emphasized the nation’s resolve in combating terrorism. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also praised the security forces for neutralizing the terrorists associated with “Fitna-al-Hindustan” during the engagement, emphasizing that under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, security institutions continue to achieve significant milestones against terrorism. The prime minister reiterated the government’s commitment to completely eradicating all forms of terrorism within Pakistan.
