inDrive Delights Drivers with Ramadan Ration Packages

inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, successfully carried out a special Ramadan initiative, distributing ration packages to its driver community across Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. As part of the activity, the ride-hailing platform teamed up with well-known influencers who booked rides through the app and surprised randomly selected drivers with Ramadan ration packages and appreciation hampers.

Sharing his thoughts on the initiative, Awais Saeed, Country Manager, inDrive Pakistan, said: “Drivers are the driving force behind everything we do as a platform. This Ramadan, we wanted to celebrate their effort in a way that genuinely supports them and their families. The element of surprise was important for us because it allowed drivers to feel seen and appreciated in an unexpected moment during their regular workday. Our drivers spend long hours on the road, often working through busy days and challenging conditions. Recognising that commitment and giving back in a meaningful way is very important to us.”

The activity follows a series of recent programs introduced by inDrive for drivers in Pakistan. These include quarterly nationwide raffle campaigns that reward top-performing drivers, free online courses that help drivers build essential digital skills, and discounted everyday items offered through Qist Bazaar.

inDrive drivers also benefit from affordable diagnostic services through Essa Laboratory, quarterly helmet drives that promote safer mobility, and a Financial Inclusion Training Program designed to support better financial decision-making. inDrive remains committed to a people-first philosophy that places driver welfare at the centre of its work. This approach is reinforced through the platform’s peer-to-peer fair pricing model, which is validated by findings from Oxford Economics. The study shows that drivers in emerging markets, including 54% in Pakistan, prefer negotiated fares because they help ensure fair and adequate compensation. By allowing drivers to agree on a price that reflects their operating costs and circumstances, the model supports sustainable earnings and makes more trips possible compared to rigid fixed-price systems.

inDrive operates in 1,065 cities across 48 countries worldwide, and is currently transitioning into a Super App with the introduction of additional locally-relevant urban services that go beyond ride-hailing. inDrive has completed more than 7 billion transactions and surpassed 390 million app downloads worldwide, rendering it the world’s second-most-downloaded ride-hailing app.
