Kristy Scott returned to social media with her first vlog since filing for divorce from her husband, Desmond Scott. The influencer posted it on Instagram and TikTok on Wednesday, where she has a combined following of over 27 million.
In the three-minute video, Kristy grocery shopped, describing it as her first trip in what she called “a new, unexpected chapter.” She admitted feeling anxious while filming again, noting her nervous system had been overwhelmed for weeks.
Kristy revealed that she recently filed for divorce from Desmond, whom she married four years ago after dating for nearly a decade and who they share two sons: 7-year-old Vance and 6-year-old Westin.
In the video, Kristy addressed fans looking for her usual lighthearted content. She stated she wasn’t currently in that headspace and would share the raw, real side of herself instead.
“I’m not in a place to be humorous or perform right now,” she said. “This moment is forcing you guys to see a different side of me—someone who feels more vulnerable.”
Kristy discussed how small tasks felt different post-divorce, expressing initial excitement about being able to purchase whatever she desired.
She also mentioned that Desmond and she have no current conflicts, noting many women have reached out with similar experiences. Reading these messages has provided comfort during her transition.
In December, Kristy cited infidelity as the reason for their separation. Desmond later confirmed the divorce and expressed commitment to co-parenting their children publicly after his apology.
