Interpol has named a 39-year-old Ukrainian woman, Anastasiia Berezovska, as the suspect in a bombing incident in Monaco. The International Criminal Police Organization listed her under a “Red Notice,” stating she is wanted for attempted murder and criminal intent of placing an explosive device on a public road.
The suspect is described with a tattoo possibly featuring a snake from her shoulder to right elbow, and proficiency in German. According to Monaco’s deputy public prosecutor Morgan Raymon, the last known residence was in Germany, and it is believed she fled through France and Italy by rental car.
French and Ukrainian media reported the attack targeted Vadym Yermolaiev, 58, a wealthy businessman originally from Ukraine but now a Cypriot national, along with his partner and 13-year-old son. The bomb was detonated remotely, and remains are being analyzed in France. Initially identified as a heavily built male wearing dark clothing and a hat, the investigation later focused on Berezovska disguised as a man.
The incident shocked Monaco, known for its wealthy residents and status as one of the world’s smallest sovereign states. Prince Albert II described it as an “odious act,” mobilizing all public services to ensure security.
