Iran’s state-run Fars News Agency reported that military officials detected a foreign “hostile drone” over the Gulf on Monday night. The drone allegedly entered sensitive airspace, which Iran claims it destroyed using an advanced domestically developed defense system.

The operation sent a clear message to potential regional threats, according to Iranian officials. Maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remained normal despite tensions, with 32 vessels passing under supervision and coordination from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the past 24 hours.
