Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemns recent arrests in UAE

On Tuesday, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei condemned the arrests made by UAE authorities. The statement said the arrests were carried out under “baseless pretexts” and urged UAE to respect human rights.

UAE Authorities Arrest Group Linked to Iran

The UAE authorities announced on Monday that they had arrested a group attempting to recruit Emiratis and funnel funds to foreign entities, according to statements from UAE officials.

Tense Relations Between Iran and UAE

Relations between Iran and the UAE have been strained since February 28th when tensions escalated between Iran, the US, and Israel. Iran has accused Gulf states of allowing US forces to operate on their territory, while the UAE has denied these allegations.
