
Iran has pledged to release Pakistani nationals stranded aboard a ship seized by Iranian forces, following confirmation of their identities and completion of necessary legal procedures, citing the strong ties between the two nations.
Iran’s envoy to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moqadam, informed Geo News that they are awaiting confirmation of the presence of Pakistani nationals on the vessel. He confirmed that details have been shared with authorities in Tehran.
“If there are Pakistani nationals on the ship, we will ensure their release after fulfilling legal requirements, given the brotherly relations between our countries,” stated the diplomat.

The Foreign Office had raised the issue with Iranian authorities in Islamabad on Sunday and shared relevant details, according to sources familiar with the matter.
