First-ever official representation from Pakistan at FC Barcelona’s base camp marks a new chapter in South Asia’s connection with global football.

Begin, the official streaming partner of LaLiga in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, has announced that acclaimed Pakistani content creator Irfan Junejo will represent Pakistan in an exclusive pre–El Clásico media opportunity with FC Barcelona players. The interviews will be filmed at the club’s base camp in Barcelona, ahead of the world’s most anticipated football rivalry, El Clásico.

This milestone marks the first time a Pakistani creator has been officially invited to meet and interview FC Barcelona players, symbolizing a breakthrough moment for local creators and South Asian football fans alike. Full interviews will be available exclusively on the Begin app, allowing fans to witness never-before-seen insights and conversations with some of the biggest names in global football.

Irfan Junejo, one of Pakistan’s most influential digital storytellers, is known for his authentic travel, lifestyle, and sports content that resonates deeply with youth across the region. His participation underlines Begin’s commitment to celebrating local voices on international stages, blending football, culture, and storytelling in one experience.

Reflecting on the opportunity, Irfan Junejo said:

“Ronaldinho was the player who made me fall in love with football. I’ve been a Barcelona supporter ever since I started watching the sport, so getting this opportunity feels absolutely surreal. For a lifelong Barça fan like me, meeting and speaking with the players I grew up admiring is beyond words, I’m just grateful and excited to represent Pakistan in this moment.”

The initiative stems from Begin’s landmark partnership with LaLiga, under which the platform secured exclusive streaming rights for all LaLiga matches across Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka for five years. The collaboration is redefining how fans in South Asia engage with European football, not just through live matches but through immersive behind-the-scenes experiences, creator-led storytelling, and local-language narratives.

Jonathan Mark, Co-Founding CEO of Begin, said:

“Our partnership with LaLiga goes far beyond broadcasting, it’s about cultural connection. Football is a universal language, and by sending Irfan Junejo to Barcelona, we’re giving millions of South Asian fans a voice within that global conversation. This is a proud moment for Begin and a reminder of what’s possible when global partnerships meet local passion.”

Through strategic collaborations like this, Begin continues to build a vibrant ecosystem of sports and entertainment content. The platform is also home to a growing slate of Begin Originals and regional exclusives, including Pakistan Idol and other upcoming productions that highlight South Asian talent for global audiences.
