District Administration Announces Closure of Popular Hiking Trails
The district administration of Islamabad has announced the closure of several popular hiking trails in the federal capital, effective from April 20, 2026. The affected trails include Trail 2-5 and the trail behind Saidpur Village.
Officials stated that the decision to close the trails was taken for public safety and administrative reasons. All public activities on these trails are strictly prohibited until new orders are issued.
The district administration has instructed relevant authorities, including the Chief Commissioner’s Office, Islamabad Police, CDA, Ministry of Interior, and PEMRA, to take necessary measures to ensure compliance with the closure. Authorities have emphasized strict security arrangements and urged citizens to adhere fully to the orders, avoiding the closed trails during the suspension period.
