Israeli military strikes Beirut’s Dahiyeh
Wednesday marked the first strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs since the April 16 ceasefire. The attack targeted a Hezbollah stronghold known as Dahiyeh, aiming at the commander of the militant group’s elite Radwan force.
According to an official Israeli statement, “Radwan operatives, led by this commander, were responsible for firing at Israeli communities and harming IDF soldiers.”
This action was announced jointly by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz.
