Jenny McCarthy believes it was definitely Jim Carrey who attended the César Awards. The actress, who famously dated Jim from 2005 to 2010, declared this after rumors surfaced that the comedian had been replaced by someone else.

Jim seemed more content and happy at the award show, according to Jenny. She noted that he looked very happy and was happy for him during their conversation with People magazine.

Donnie Wahlberg, McCarthy’s husband, added that people were so focused on how Jim looked that they missed his happiness. He emphasized that it’s important not just to consider physical appearances but also emotional well-being.

Jim Carrey’s February appearance at the French awards ceremony sparked significant online buzz, with many speculating that someone had impersonated him. Before attending the César Awards, Jim last stepped out publicly in November 2025 when he inducted Soundgarden into the Rock Hall of Fame.
