
The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) is set to convene today, Tuesday. The session will see Chief Justice Yahya Afridi presiding over the review of five Islamabad High Court judges’ transfers.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani’s move to Lahore High Court and Justice Babar Sattar’s shift to Peshawar High Court are among the key issues on the agenda. Additionally, Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz’s transfer to Sindh High Court and Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro’s relocation to Balochistan High Court will be discussed.
Sources have noted that Chief Justice Afridi had previously declined a request for a routine meeting concerning these transfers.
