The Karachi Bar Association has demanded an apology from actor Faisal Qureshi and Hum TV for allegedly tarnishing the reputation of the legal fraternity through their portrayal in a drama.
In a statement issued by the Bar Association, General Secretary Ikhtiar Ali Channa and Chairman of the Human Rights Committee Zahid Hussain Soomro condemned the portrayal of the legal fraternity in the drama "Zulm," particularly the use of inappropriate language by Faisal Qureshi.
The statement highlighted that the portrayal in the drama has deeply affected the reputation of the legal fraternity, and called for apologies from all parties involved, including Faisal Qureshi and the owner of Hum TV, Sultana Siddique.
Expressing their concern over the matter, the Bar Association stated that they reserve the right to take legal action against Faisal Qureshi, Hum TV, and other involved parties.
