Major Operation Leads to Recovery of 2.72 Acres Railway Land Worth 1.42 Billion Rupees

A major operation targeting land mafia in Karachi has resulted in the recovery of government land valued at 1.42 billion rupees. The action, supervised by SP Railways, led to the arrest of 12 individuals.

Recovered railway property, located along the Karachi Circular Railway alignment near Deh Dozan, Dow Hospital, and behind King Classic Apartments, is legally owned by Pakistan Railways but had been encroached upon for an unauthorized private project called “Sheikhani Sky Towers.”

The operation was initiated after a status quo order in case number 108/2026 expired on May 25, 2026. Following this, Pakistan Railways collaborated with the Railway Police and district administration to reclaim possession of the land.

A spokesperson for Pakistan Railways confirmed that FIRs have been registered against the detained individuals. The spokesperson also stated that nationwide operations against encroachments on railway land are ongoing, emphasizing that illegal occupation of national assets will not be tolerated.
