A major reshuffle in senior leadership within the Sindh Police is under consideration as Inspector General Ghulam Nabi Memon, due to retire on Wednesday, is being considered for appointment as the new Inspector General of Sindh Police. Javed Alam Odho, currently serving as the Karachi Police Chief, is likely to take over as the new Karachi Police Chief if the proposed move is approved. Azad Khan, who has extensive experience in counter-terrorism operations at the provincial level, is viewed as a strong contender to head the police force of Pakistan’s largest city.
