Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt recently shared a heartwarming anecdote about her sister-in-law, Abby Champion. In an interview with People magazine, Katherine reminisced about how her brother Patrick’s wife had sent her a handwritten thank-you note. “I was so touched when I received it,” she said. “Abby took the time to write me this note and it almost brought tears to my eyes.”

“I’ve always admired Abby for being classy,” Katherine continued. “It’s these little gestures that make life worth cherishing, like a handwritten thank-you card from her wife.”

She clarified, “This wasn’t something Patrick did on his own; it was his wife who wrote the note.”

Patrick and Abby had been in a relationship since 2015. They got engaged in 2023 and tied the knot in September 2025 with an intimate ceremony.

Katherine elaborated, “It’s very special to receive such notes from my mom every Christmas and birthday. My sister always writes me one too.”

She then spoke about her dad Arnold Schwarzenegger who frequently sent her handwritten letters. “I get cards from my dad, [he] has beautiful cursive writing,” Katherine noted. Chris also wrote a Valentine’s Day card or a Mother’s Day note to her.

For Katherine, these notes mean the world. “It’s just so special when someone makes an effort like that,” she emphasized.
